Although she does not give smiles away freely, is she not just the cutest little girl you've ever seen?!
It seems like it has been a long time since I have updated our blog. In fact, I don't think I have touched it since coming back from Payson. It has been a super crazy, busy week...but, we have survived. The biggest news is that our new renters moved in this week. It is a lady named Tiffany and her four children. Two of the kids go to school with our boys. The kids are with their dad part of the time, so they are only here a few days a week, but my kids LOVE having friends so close to play with. Tiffany and her ex-husband run a petting zoo, so we also have a bunch of new animals who have moved into our pasture.

Bryce always loves having lots of kids around.
Bryce and the other kids all love the animals as well.

The boys went back to school on Tuesday. It is always sad to send them back, but I must say, it was nice to have a little bit of quiet while the little ones took naps! I spent a good part of the day trying to set up an evaluation for Annalise with early intervention. Cub scouts started back up also, so William, Jacob (first time), and I all had cubs that night.
Wednesday, Spencer started his music class again. He is now in Yellow Indians!
Thursday, Jacob had his well check. We will be looking into getting a speech evaluation for him soon. Since Bryce's respite worker was sick, I took Bryce and Annalise with me to the appointment. Luckily, my sister had the day off and was willing to meet me there and walk around with them during the appointment. Afterward, we stopped at Baskin Robbins for ice-cream and as I took my first bite, my back tooth chipped! Who chips their tooth on ice-cream?! Anyway, so I get to go in to see the dentist first thing Monday morning.
Friday morning I had Bryce's IEP meeting at school. Luckily, it went really well. The class size is getting really big and with Bryce's breathing issues and limited physical ability, he really needs a 1 on 1 aide during the school day. I was told that if we have something from the doctor saying this is necessary, it is much more likely that it will be approved. I'm just not sure the doctor will see it as necessary as I do.
Friday afternoon was Annalise's evaluation. A Physical Therapist and a Developmental Specialist came to do it. The physical therapist saw many things that she is struggling with and she easily qualifies for PT. Luckily at this point, she is within her age range for all other areas. It is still so unreal to me that we are even going through this with her. She was doing so well, I really thought we had made it. I'm glad that we have been able to catch Annalise sooner than we did with Bryce. I don't know if it will make a difference in the long run or not, but our hope is that she will be able to keep some of her skills longer with some help. Time will tell! We will be looking into getting her some supports for her feet and legs since she is really compensating for the weakness in her legs by turning her ankles and knees inward. I have already ordered her a little helmet to protect her head. She falls so much and has gotten some really bad bumps in the last few days. She is still trying, still walking, and climbing as much as she can! I plan to let her do whatever she wants and is able to do for as long as possible!
This afternoon we are finally having Jacob's birthday party. It is a very thrown together party, but I think it will work out just fine. Next week is his baptism and then we have Bryce's birthday, so we decided if we were going to have a party, it needs to be today. Considering it is happening in just a few hours, I guess I better get busy.
