Since December was such a crazy month, we decided to celebrate Jacob's birthday on our one free Saturday in January, January 8th. He had originally wanted a remote control airplane party, but when we couldn't fine an airplane pinata, he decided to do a hodgepodge party with a variety of themes.
We did attempt an airplane cake. He liked how it turned out, so that is what is important.
Here it is with sprinkles and Buzz Lightyear
Singing Happy birthday
Thinking of a wish

A yard full of grapefruits can come in very handy!
Team Rock wins! Everyone got a medal
Another race. John was making them up as we went.
Jacob got some really great gifts
And then the pinata. He chose a transformer pinata.

Then, thanks to our renters, the kids all had pony rides.

When the party was over, the kids were picked up...some by car and some by horse.
Annalise wanted her turn on the pony and LOVED it! It was so fun to hear her giggle as she rode.
Look at that proud Daddy as well
She and some of the other kids also fed the pony.
It was a great party. I think everyone had a good time and there were no major injuries! We definitely could not have asked for better weather, especially in January! This is why I love living in Arizona.
