A First for Bryce

First of all, Happy Father's Day to my wonderful Dad.  Wish he was here to help us celebrate.  We have had a fun day celebrating with the fantastic Dad of my children.  We started with breakfast in bed for John and then some homemade cards and some little gifts.  One of them was the game Mastermind which the boys have enjoyed playing with him throughout the day.  I think John has had a good day.

Now for Bryce's first.  He was asked to give the opening prayer in Primary today.  I set up a little prayer for him on his communication device and he enjoyed practicing "saying" it.  It was very cute to see him say it and then giggle and seem so happy with himself.  So during Sacrament Meeting, we turned off his device to help save the batteries.  When we turned it back on, the prayer was gone (yes, I had saved it).  So instead of using that, I just said it while he sat next to me in his chair with his arms folded.  When we got home it was back.  Weird!  Anyway, it was cute when the Primary leader put the little chair cover that says prayer on the back of Bryce's wheelchair.  I'm glad they include him in things like this and hopefully next time, his "voice" will work for him.
