No More Casts!

They are gone! Hooray! Very early this morning, Bryce, Annalise, and I headed off to CRS for Bryce's 7:45 AM appointment to have his casts removed.

We've had fun in the last few days coloring up his casts.

When we arrived, there was a teenage girl waiting to get her cast off of her ankle. Her mother was with her and helped me with Annalise a few times. It was nice that the girl got her cast off first since this made it possible for Bryce to watch how it happens. So, when the nurse took his casts off, he did really well. He jumped a few times, but didn't cry at all.

Bryce's skinny, scaly leg.

Bryce was very excited for bath time! I gave him a nice long bath and lotioned him up real well.

We left CRS with a brace that he will be wearing when he sleeps for the next 3 months to help keep his legs separated. His legs are actually still spread really far apart (further than what the brace holds him at). He also seems pretty stiff and is having some muscle spasms which hopefully will lessen soon. We will go back to see Dr. Schrader in 3 months to see if this has helped his hips.
