Winter Wonderland

Every Thursday night in the village is Christmas. They go all out for the kids. We had spent the day at Universal's Islands of Adventure, but were sure to be home in time to meet Santa.

Santa was all set up in the theater. As we went in the door, there were shelves and shelves of games and toys. Each child in the family got to choose one as their Christmas present. Then we got in line to visit Santa.

Bryce loved seeing Santa. No fear at all!

Annalise sat on his lap briefly and we were not able to get her calmed down again until we left the theater. Everyone else enjoyed sitting with Santa and telling him their hopes for Christmas.

After Santa, we went outside for the Winter Wonderland party. They had cookie decorating, sno cones,

a horse drawn carriage ride,

a parade, (we got back from the carriage ride just in time to see the parade)

and lots of characters to meet.

Mayor Clayton

The boys think it is great that the Mayor of the Village is named Mayor Clayton. He seemed to think it was pretty neat as well.

Then the snow began!

Annalise was very intrigued by the falling white stuff.

Annalise loved his big, red buttons

William and Jacob talking with the princesses.

Then to finish off the party, there was dancing with the characters to Christmas music.

What a great way to begin the holiday season!
