Wednesday, July 14th Morning

This day was full of activity. Since I have so many pictures of all of the fun, I have decided to divide this day into two postings.

Wednesday, the 14th began with t-shirt designing. Mom had gotten t-shirts for all of the grandchildren, blue for the boys and pink for the girls. She had stencils and all kinds of markers for the kids to use to decorate their shirts. It was fun to see what each child came up with.

This one didn't surprise me!

The kids entertained themselves while we waited for everyone to finish their shirts.

Before long we heard a crash and looked down and sure enough, this blue car had pulled out and hit my sister's truck that was parked on the side of the road. Since it wasn't bad, my sister and the guy who had hit her weren't too concerned about it and decided to just let it go. However the guy's future father-in-law came out and wouldn't let it drop. He started going on about how Stacie shouldn't be parked there and thus the accident was her fault, even though there is nothing saying she couldn't be parked there. Also, the funny thing is that their family had a car parked just down the way on the side of the road just like Stacie's was. Anyway, Stacie decided that since he was saying all of this, that she better go ahead and get some information and pictures. Pretty soon, some of the people that were in their car came out with bags of ice on their necks! Totally ridiculous!

All of us watching as the craziness unfolded.

Well, this minor thing escalated and the next thing you know we find out that they had called the police. Really dumb thing to do because the police came, got the story, and cited the guy for not having insurance and since it was totally his fault for backing into a parked car, gave him an $85 ticket. All thanks to the kid's future Father-in-law who couldn't just keep his mouth shut. Stacie said it was really sad though because the kid was really nice and he and Stacie were just going to let it drop and now he was in some trouble.

A car accident wasn't in the plans for the day, so once we got that out of the way, we headed on over to the NorthPole, Home of Santa's Workshop. This is a Christmas themed family amusement park in Colorado Springs that runs year round.

Everyone was debating whether these animals were chipmunks or squirrels. We decided to call them chipsquirrels!

We found out later that they are indeed ground squirrels. The kids had a lot of fun watching them.
