Just Hanging out in Oklahoma

The next few days all run together for me. I can't remember which days we did what. So the next few posts will just be about our outings instead of going day by day. Here are a few random pictures of things we did throughout the week.

Swimming. Lots and lots of swimming...or at least hanging out in the pool.

This particular day, I had just gotten out of the pool with the little ones when everyone else came in. It was a bummer, but at least I got some pictures this way. Here is Bryce just loving the chance to watch everyone.

Annalise and Andrea. It was so fun to watch them play together. The last time we saw Andrea, she was only a few months old and Annalise wasn't even born yet! I sure wish we lived closer to family.

The little ones watching Baby Neptune. Annalise and Andrea enjoyed pointing to all the things as they came up on the screen.

Jacob's turn in the Murphy bed! He was fine sleeping there once we convinced him that the bed would not close on him in the middle of the night.

Of course there was a girls night out which included painting toes and eating ice-cream! Here is Claygran giving Laurel some flowers.

And the family enjoying the chocolate fondue fountain! Actually, the cord to the fountain couldn't be found so Dorothy just melted the chocolate and it was all good!

A funny thing about this night was that I had made some banana bread using a new recipe before we left for OK. Well, it was really awful stuff, and finally we just threw it away. John's Aunt Victoria saw that we had thrown it away and thought that was just wrong. So she took it out of the trash (luckily it was wrapped in foil) and cut it up to serve with the chocolate. I thought that was gross...I mean the bread wasn't worth eating in the first place. But, there is no stopping some people once they get an idea in their head and amazingly enough it got eaten up with the chocolate! I guess you can eat anything if it has enough chocolate on it. (Yuck!) And everyone survived, so I guess it's all good!

All week there was lots of food. Plenty of twizzlers, soda pop, and chocolate to keep everybody happy! There were also lots of games played, family trivia being one of the favorites. The boys really enjoyed hearing Aunt Victoria tell stories of Boombadoom (sp?) and other adventures. They are looking forward to seeing her and hearing more stories in November.

Great shots! Love the one where Bryce us so happy. Thanks for posting about the reunion--Isn't it funny how one person's "bad banana bread" becomes another person's dipped in chocolate delight!? :)
