Last Monday night we went to Mukutu's Island for the first time as a family. William had been there before with a birthday party and has been talking about it ever since. We have this thing where the boys can earn points for doing certain chores each morning and evening and then when they get up to 100 points they get a special date with either Mom or Dad. Well this last time they all chose Mukutu's Island so we decided to just make it one big date this time. I picked the boys up from school and headed over. They did their homework in the car so that was done by the time we got there. We stopped on the way over and picked John up at work and then went to play. There was only one other family in the play area when we arrived. It picked up a little bit, but it was pretty quiet most of the night which was great! We purchased a family pack that got everyone in (they didn't charge for Bryce--Hurray!), plus dinner and tokens for 4 which worked out just fine. We all had a great time and the boys all fell asleep on the way home. I call that success! Most of the pictures I took turned out pretty dark, but here are some that worked out.
Jacob, Spencer, and Dad in the Pirate's Den
Jacob, William and Spencer taking a 2 second
break on the climbing rope net.
I tried to get a picture of these guys looking
at me, but Bryce was way too interested in
getting up there. No time for photos!
John and Bryce on the Zip line.
William on the Zip line
Jacob on the Zip line
Spencer got most of his tickets while playing
ICE BALL!
Bryce was a pro at air hockey!
This picture cracks me up. Bryce did not want to stop for
a picture! The others are all just in their own little worlds.
I thought it was great that Bryce was able to support himself
while up on this blue thing in the toddler area...
But then it got even better. When I put the yellow mat in
front of him, he started to pull himself up using his upper
and lower body...
until he made it far enough to knock the mat over! It was so great.
I just sat there and cheered him on until he made it! He loved it!
Here is a shot of one of his other climbs! He just kept doing
it over and over. I can't believe how well he is doing.
It makes me so happy!

So exciting, both the place and Bryce's progress. We have been there once and it was crazy crowded. Did we take William? It really was a lot of fun.
You did! He loved it!
YEAH!!!!
Those pictures of Bryce are so exciting!
