December 5th--Christmas Parade

December 5th was the Queen Creek Christmas Parade. We haven't ever been before, but this year we were asked to participate in it. Our dentist, whose family is also a good friend of ours from our ward, asked us if we would like to join them on their float. The theme this year was Christmas memories and the float was a horse drawn hay ride with Christmas carols and hot chocolate. It was chilly, but comfortable that morning. The older boys said their favorite part was the doughnuts and juice that Julie had for us before we began. Bryce loved seeing all of the people along the road waving to us as we went by. We all had a lot of fun and the float won first place in the equestrian section. Unfortunately my camera was out of batteries that morning and I didn't get any pictures while in the parade.

This was Annalise the night of the parade. She and I actually got a bit of sunburn. I didn't even think about using sunscreen that morning. Who needs sunscreen in December?!

Neither one of the little ones seemed to want their picture taken that night, but they were just so stinking cute that I had to get one before getting them ready for bed.
