Van Update
Well, the stay puff marshmallow van, as John has named it, survived! We're not sure whether to celebrate or be sad, but either way, it made it through! John and a buddy went up, fixed the hose, added some water, and were able to drive it home. We also got my van out of the shop so I was able to drive that today.
